I've been dealing in vintage and primitive art of some kind for almost 30 years now and one thing I can say is that vintage trends have remained steady throughout these years. This doesn't mean that vintage has always been "hot" though. Fads come and go.
Fortunately, vintage is a trend that always has a dedicated audience even when other fads come and go. Over the past several years there's been a revitalization in the vintage space thanks to tv shows with personalities such as Chip and Joanna Gaines and even Antiques Roadshow. As younger people notice the value in vintage decor and one of a kind handmade items the trend continues to remain solid even if not always rock solid!
